Supervision

A collaborative space for reflection, growth and ethical practice.

I offer supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists, trainees and helping professionals online throughout the UK and in person in Cardiff and London. Get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.

A Space to Think Together

Supervision offers a dedicated space to think together about your work, your clients and yourself as a practitioner. Alongside attending to ethical practice and client welfare, I see supervision as a relational process that supports curiosity, professional development and sustainability in our work.

My approach is grounded in the belief that effective supervision is more than oversight. It is a collaborative relationship where we can explore what is happening within the therapeutic process, make sense of challenges, attend to our own responses, and deepen our capacity to work thoughtfully and ethically.

My Approach

Relational, integrative supervision that attends to both the work and the relationship in which it is explored.

I offer relational, integrative supervision informed by:

  • The BACP Ethical Framework and current professional guidance.
  • Curiosity, compassion and openness as core values.
  • Attention to both the client relationship and the supervisory relationship.
  • Space for process, immediacy and the impact of the work upon us.
  • An appreciation of difference, diversity and lived experience.
  • Support for reflective, ethical and embodied practice.

Alongside case discussion and ethical considerations, I aim to offer a space where uncertainty, mistakes and not-knowing can be thought about safely and openly.

I welcome practitioners from different theoretical orientations and enjoy working across modalities. While my own practice is relational and integrative, I aim to provide supervision that is collaborative and responsive to your way of working.

Training and Experience

My supervisory practice is informed by many years of experience supporting, mentoring and supervising colleagues within pastoral and helping professions. I hold a Certificate in Pastoral Supervision from Wesley House, Cambridge, and I am currently completing the Certificate in Clinical Supervision at the Metanoia Institute.

Alongside formal training, I bring extensive experience of accompanying practitioners in reflective conversations that attend to ethical practice, professional development and the person of the practitioner. I value supervision as a collaborative relationship that balances support and challenge, creating space for curiosity, uncertainty and thoughtful exploration.

Areas I Can Support

Supervision may include:

  • Clinical case discussion.
  • Ethical dilemmas and decision-making.
  • Relational dynamics and use of self.
  • Working with neurodivergent clients and practitioners.
  • LGBTQIA+ affirmative practice.
  • Managing risk and safeguarding concerns.
  • Developing confidence and professional identity.
  • Private practice and self-employment.
  • Supporting sustainability and preventing burnout.
  • Reflective practice for professionals in helping roles.

Who I Work With

I offer supervision to:

  • Qualified counsellors and psychotherapists.
  • Counselling and psychotherapy trainees.
  • Newly qualified practitioners.
  • Student placements.
  • Charities and voluntary sector practitioners.
  • Coaches and helping professionals seeking reflective space.
  • Practitioners working online or in person.

I work with practitioners from a variety of theoretical orientations and welcome diversity in experience, identity and worldview.

My Style as a Supervisor

People often describe me as warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental.

I aim to create a supervisory relationship where challenge and support can coexist. I value honesty, transparency and congruence, and I believe that supervision works best when we are able to bring both confidence and uncertainty into the room.

Rather than positioning myself as an expert with answers, I see supervision as a process of exploration, discovery and learning together. I aim to offer a relationship in which you can slow down, notice what is happening, and discover your own understanding and direction.

Practical Arrangements

Supervision is available:

  • Online throughout the UK.
  • In person in Cardiff and London (subject to availability).
  • Monthly or fortnightly.
  • For individuals or organisations.
  • As ongoing or consultative supervision.

Sessions are offered at a fee of £60 per hour. Where shorter or longer sessions are needed, these can be discussed together.

Inclusion and Accessibility

I recognise that each practitioner brings their own identity, culture, values and ways of experiencing the world. I aim to offer a supervisory relationship that is affirming, respectful and responsive to individual needs and experience.

If there are access requirements or adaptations that would support you in making use of supervision, we can think together about what may be helpful.

A Place to Think Together

Finding the right supervisor matters. I offer an initial conversation to explore what you are looking for, how I work, and whether we might be a good fit. Whether you are in training, newly qualified, returning to practice or simply looking for a supervisory relationship that feels collaborative and thoughtful, I would be glad to explore whether we might work well together.

Common Questions About Supervision

Supervision is a professional, reflective space focused on your work as a practitioner rather than on personal therapy. Together we think about your clients, your practice and your own responses, attending to ethical practice and your wellbeing in the role. It is collaborative rather than evaluative.

Both. I offer supervision online throughout the UK and in person in Cardiff and London, subject to availability. We can find an arrangement that suits how and where you work.

I work with qualified counsellors and psychotherapists, trainees, newly qualified practitioners, students on placement, and helping professionals from a range of modalities and settings. I welcome practitioners from different theoretical orientations.

Supervision is usually monthly or fortnightly, depending on your caseload, your stage of training and any professional requirements you are working to. We can agree a rhythm together and review it as your needs change.

Sessions are offered at a fee of £60 per hour. Where shorter or longer sessions are needed, these can be discussed together. If you would like to find out more, I offer an initial conversation to explore whether we might be a good fit.
